Note:  To provide a worthwhile experience, the maximum number of visitors that can be accommodated is 30. Larger groups can be served by scheduling two primary dates.  Separate $50 fee for each date. 
Telescope towers are NOT accessible to wheelchairs.  Stairways may be difficult for those with  physical limitations.

Note:   Sunsets come late March through August so group arrivals should be scheduled no earlier than 9 p.m. Once it is determined that the requested dates are available, guides will be assigned and the following form transmitted to you as a confirmation. The detachable invoice must be paid by the date specified.

Important:  Veen Observatory Field Trips can be scheduled Sunday through Thursday and on some Fridays from March 15th through November 15th.  A $50 non-refundable Group Fee will be billed to the group and mailed to the person listed above once the appointment is confirmed. If the group wishes, a second date to be used in the event of cloudiness or other problems can be scheduled at no additional cost. If no telescopic observing is possible, an alternate program with a tour of the facility and explanation of the telescopes can be provided. Length of visit varies depending on the group and viewing conditions but averages one and one half hours. The non-refundable fee must be paid by a deadline date, which is approximately a week prior to the scheduled visit.
