Each month this year, we will share with you a significant image from the GRAAA archives as the group commemorates 70 years of existence in 2025. The images are selected to reveal not only significant history, but also some lighter moments.

Jim and Evelyn Marron are standing together toward the front in red and blue shirts in this celebratory photo from mid-summer, 1968. Occasion was laying of the final block after more than three years of concentrated work during construction of the Veen Observatory. During this phase of the project, it was not unusual to labor until the late evening darkness of summer came, as was true when this picture was taken. Yes that is wine in the cups, and yes some in the photo are not "of age." GRAAA old timers, can you identify others in the picture? Who among them is still a member today?
