GRAAA Reflections: August 2025

Each month this year, we will share with you a significant image from the GRAAA archives as the group commemorates 70 years of existence in 2025. The images are selected to reveal not only significant history, but also some lighter moments.

GRAAA was founded in 1955, which makes 2025 the 70th anniversary year for the Association. Each month this year we'll be sharing a significant image from the GRAAA archives, which will reveal not only significant history, but also some lighter moments.

These two images from summer 1968 show the Veen Observatory finally becoming a fully enclosed building. Both domes were in place by early spring, and that summer was spent constructing the walls, floor, and roof of the main room.
